New MD at Fiat Auto South Africa
 

Alberto Montanari, Managing Director of Fiat Auto South Africa, from the 1st June 2003, will take over the directorship of Fiat Auto India.

Giorgio Gorelli will succeed Alberto Montanari as Managing Director of Fiat Auto South Africa. Gorelli has been with Fiat Auto for the last 16 years in the Commercial division. He previously held the position as Vice President for European Sales in the Fiat/Lancia Business Unit.

Montanari has been with Fiat Group for the last 17 years and has been managing the South African market for Fiat Auto SpA for the past two years. Montanari said, "I have been captivated by the natural beauty of both the people and the land of South Africa. I will miss the fantastic team at Fiat Auto South Africa that I have been privileged to work with."

Gorelli states, "I am honored to be taking the helm of Fiat Auto South Africa. This is a key market that plays an important role in the long term strategy of Fiat Auto SpA."
